Cancer is one of the toughest journeys a person can face.  Even as the COVID-19 pandemic has presented many new challenges, patients and their families cannot press ‘pause’ while battling cancer.

Katelyn’s husband, Kyle, was out of work while receiving radiation and chemotherapy treatment for Grade 3 brain cancer. She was out of work on maternity leave following the birth of their first child. “I would stay up at night feeding our son and rocking him to sleep, thinking, ‘How will we pay next month’s bills?’ FCS Foundation helped our family through that time,” she said.

Since the start of the pandemic, requests for patient grants have increased 25% over 2019 and are expected to continue rising at a steady pace.  Throughout our history, we have never turned away a qualified applicant.

The pandemic has greatly impacted our ability to raise the funds necessary to continue to assist patients in need without disruption.  We have been forced to cancel or postpone almost all signature events.  And although we have shifted some of our fundraisers to virtual platforms, overall contributions are down substantially.

With your continued support, we can make an even greater impact for cancer patients and their families by providing immediate financial aid for essential everyday living expenses. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to FCS Foundation during this season of giving.
